Sn‐Pb Mixed Perovskites with Fullerene‐Derivative Interlayers for Efficient Four‐Terminal All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells

Interfacial engineering is the key to high-performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs). While a wide range of fullerene interlayers are investigated for Pb-based counterparts with bandgap >1.5 eV, role barely in Sn-Pb mixed narrow-bandgap (NBG) PSCs. In this work, two novel solution-processed derivatives investigated, namely indene-C60-propionic acid butyl ester and hexyl (IPH), as NBG It found that devices IPH-interlayer show highest performance remarkable short-circuit current density 30.7 mA cm−2 low deficit open-circuit voltage. The reduction voltage down 0.43 V attributed reduced non-radiative recombination authors attribute aspects: 1) higher conduction band offset ≈0.2 eV (>0 eV) hampers charge-carrier-back-transfer recombination; 2) decrease trap at perovskite/interlayer/C60 interfaces results trap-assisted recombination. addition, incorporating IPH interlayer enhances charge extraction within considerable enhancement density. Using device an interlayer, respectable power conversion efficiency 24.8% demonstrated four-terminal all-perovskite tandem cell.
